Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to the information you give Summit Research (charttheclimb.com) when you sign up for the free Summit Brief and Summit Weekly or join a waitlist. In short: we collect your email address so we can send you what you asked for, and nothing else.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you sign up.
• The lists you ask to join: the free letters, and any waitlist you tick (Sentinel, the Summit Scanner and Journal, or the book Pick Your Mountain).
• Basic delivery information from our email platform: whether an email was delivered and opened and whether a link was clicked. We use it to keep the list healthy and to see which research is useful.

We do not ask for your name, phone number, location or payment details to receive the free letters.

How we use it

• To send the Summit Brief and the Summit Weekly, and to confirm your subscription.
• To tell you when a product you asked about opens, if you ticked that box.
• To reply when you write to us.

We do not sell, rent or trade your email address, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Who processes it

• Ghost (Ghost Foundation) hosts our subscriber list and sends our emails.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and, like any web host, keeps short-lived technical logs (for example IP addresses) to keep the site secure and running.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
• Ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by writing to hello@charttheclimb.com. We will respond within 30 days.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to make sure you are not emailed again, and delete the rest on request.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our email platform may set a cookie only if you sign in to a member account.

Changes

If this notice changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
